“I walked in for my first time and was unsure if I sat myself or if the waitress would do so. I was questioned what I needed in a rude way like I was interrupting them. It was very off-putting. I sat and ordered, and I will say that there was a little bit more kindness towards me. The kitchen moved a bit slow, I saw other tables around me looking at food as it came up in the window hoping it was theirs. My omelet was good, the toast was burnt/black. It seems as if my experience was not of the norm and I am willing to go back. Portions are a good size. Veggies in my omelet were fresh.”

“Authentic Jamaican food. Balancing heat and flavor is difficult but these guys have nailed it. Located 10 minutes from the Children's museum it's an easily accessible neighborhood jewel. Their menu is limited but delicious. Whether the jerk chicken, goat curry or roti offerings they're all delicious. The seating is limited but absolutely worth the trek. I know it's a hike but if you're headed out east it's absolutely worth a visit. I'm waiting for my next visit. All the meats and vegetables are locally sourced. On your way out don't forget to pick a bottle of their hot sauce. The bill was $40 for the four of us.”

“Visited on Sunday morning for breakfast. My son had the Hamburg special with eggs. He requested the Hamburg be cooked medium and received it rare. That being said, as server Simone walked by I asked her if she could please have the grill cook it longer ...her reply was i’m not your server...my reply was can you take it back anyway? She wasn’t pleased about it at all. When I was a GM for a restaurant chain this was unacceptable! I expected my team to work together as a team and always respect a customer request. We frequent Lucky’s often and I ask NOT to be seated in her section when she’s on duty. On a good note the 5 Stars represents the quality and quantity of the food and the service we receive from the servers. Kudos to the following servers... Victoria, Ashley, Connor, Danielle, Rachel Joan, Theresa, Karen and Robin. They deliver excellent customer service!!! Well done!”

“All I can say about the prime rib is WOW. I ordered the caboose and brought more than half home. It did need salt but the exterior was seasoned nicely and I really enjoyed it. My fiance had the world's largest fried seafood platter! The shrimp and whole belly clams were great and everything had a nice light batter. Two others in our party had baked stuffed shrimp which were very large and they enjoyed them although both said they've had better. Another had the grilled sirloin which which was cooked nicely and she liked it very much. Only downers were the clam chowder which three people had and all said was clammy but very bland, and the Mac and cheese which tasted burnt. Since there were five of us and we wanted to eat on the train we were given the back private room which we were excited about until we walked in. The rest of the train was decorated with lighted Garland with shamrocks and was very pretty and festive. The back room was not much more than a large closet. No windows, no Garland...not a picture on the wall. That was a big surprise and we were disappointed but laughed it off. All in all we had fun and the food was good and the portions more than generous. We will definitely be back but in a smaller group so we can sit in the fun part of the train!”
