Great food. Fast service. Fresh food. Always like to stop by to eat the hashbrowns. Home cooked meals at this location. Great for a pit stop when you're on the move. Remember they close early.????????????
We visited for brunch during the weekday in the late morning. The food was good, about what you would expect from a restaurant that is rated as highly as Jakes is. The breakfast potatoes had a nice flavor and a very enjoyable crunchy exterior. We heard the French toast was good too, but unfortunately we never received ours.
The downside was that the food was a little on the pricier side, and it took a long time to reach the table. So much so that I had to finish my meal early to go back to put more money into the meter that I initially paid for 1hr 15 minutes.
The other unfortunate issue was the poor service we received. My wife ordered French toast, but we received pancakes instead. The server insisted we said pancakes, even though her own notepad didn't have pancakes written down for our order. Mistakes happen, but instead of being offered the frenchtoast we wanted she assured us that the pancakes were just as good.
We left without eating the pancakes that we didn't order, and paying for them too.
Unfortunately, no matter the quality of the food we were served, the poor service that left a bad taste in our mouths will make it hard to return for another visit. Your visit will obviously differ.
Loved this place for lunch. I had te hash special with two perfectly poached eggs. My wife had the soup and sandwich special. What a find. You cannot go wrong at this place. Helpful staff. Just order what they recommend
I’ve lived in western MA for little over a year (formerly in Boston) and I have to say Jake’s is the best breakfast/brunch I have found here HANDS DOWN. The menu is huge, bar staff super sweet, and did I mention the mimosas??? Yes. Mimosas. They have an open kitchen where if you sit in the bar you can see how passionate and hard the chef and team are working. Everything I’ve ever eaten here is absolutely delicious!!! Highly recommend if you want a great brunch in this area. Plus- MIMOSAS!
Amazing breakfast spot. Fantastic food with an ever changing menu. Service is top notch as well
