Decent food and friendly service if you happen to be in the area. We came towards the end of the summer and as such were still able to enjoy the sunshine afforded by the outdoor seating. I opted for the burger which was accompanied by truffle fries - a great cure for the extortions of the last night that was had prior.
Delicious food. Super friendly staff. Eclectic decorations. Definitely worth a visit. A great date location.
Tasteless wine selection, undercooked pork. Weren’t described the array of cheeses on the cheese board as they were presented, bread in basket was under baked. Food runner was kind enough to comp 50% on rare pork served. New cutlery not brought for different courses. Was excited to enjoy an evening of French food but the standard of authentic French food in such a beautiful setting was not met, unfortunately. Interiors were beautiful however.
The food was well executed, unfortunately the service was very poor. Courses were brought out one on top of another, without apparent reference to whether we were still working on the prior dish, and the waiter hovered over us while we were considering what to order both before the meal and for dessert - we had to ask him repeatedly to give us a couple of minutes to actually read the menu. Meanwhile empty wine glasses sat on the table. Considering that they probably had 10 tables occupied, it seems very odd that they would be trying to turn tables or something.
Would be 2 stars, but the ceviche was so, so tasty.
We will be back next time we're back in town. They would have gotten five stars if they weren't short wait staff the time we visited. We were staying at the Porter square hotel for a visit with family members in the area. What a nice, cozy intimate establishment. The restaurant is tastefully decorated although the booths could have been more comfortable. The menu is somewhat limited but they make up for that with the choices on the menu. We ordered the Hummus appetizer first. It was red, a nice combination of flavors and came with crispy bread slices. Next was the Kale salad which was a good portion and tasty. My wife had the pasta choice, my son ordered the salmon, and I had the bass which was the special of the day. All were yummy and the plates were cleaned. We would have ordered dessert if we had room. Some more good choices.
