Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage

Lived in Boston for many years but never tried Mr. Bartley’s. Unbelievable first experience great food, great service, cool local atmosphere. Will definitely go back. Try the “goat”burger and s’mores shake!!!!
Only regret is that it took me so long to try this place!!

Hands down best selection of burgers in the Boston area and always cooked to perfection. No frills or unwanted extras, just delicious eats and witty/current menu names.

The food is delicious and the help can’t be more Helpful. I love this place. Great addition for Harvard Square! Enjoy!

-Undercooked and soggy. Really soggy.
-We tried fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. -While none were gross, they also weren’t anything to rave about.
-not family-friendly. The guy waiting our table kept ignoring the fact that we had kids with us, only bringing drinks for my husband and me. We even asked for additional water cups and he brought empty cups.
-the buss staff guys were busting their tails while the wait staff was literally standing around. The buss guys in white really did all the work. He was the one who took care of us. All the waiter did was order our food and bring it to our table.
-small location but the seating is ample for the space
-there is street parking right outside

Tremendous burgers and fries in a characterful old space right across from the main Harvard campus. We stopped in and had a great lunch. The make your own burger option was appreciated and yielded tasty, greasy cheeseburgers. Seemed like a classic college spot. I would happily go back.
