“I'm going to try not to write a book here about Gary's even though I want to. Having grown up right down the road, Gary's Ice Cream was a staple in the summer time for my brothers and I. While I always enjoyed the ice cream, I never truly appreciated how great it was until I became an adult. Not one single time have I gotten an ice cream here that was not above average. It is so above par in fact, that even though I live in Boston now I will be making frequent trips here throughout the summer, and not only when I am visiting family. The banana ice cream is so delicious, and is my go-to for a frappe. Although there is a seasonal mango flavor that has been taking my love and attention the last couple of times I've gone. People complaining about the price- you have to understand that you get what you pay for. When you get an ice cream, frappe, sundae etc at Gary's it's a real treat and should be treated as such. Also, it is more than just the ice cream that makes this stand great. When you come here, you feel like you are coming to a place that has been here forever. A staple of the community. There is so much history and in this weird way you can feel it as you stand outside under the neon sign, struggling to decide on one out of dozens of fantastic flavors, with a hot orange summer sun setting in the sky. Whenever I interact with Gary, he has always been nice and personable, letting me know about flavors he's working on etc. This ice cream stand is his baby, and he is a prime example of a business owner who has never lost his passion for his craft. It is a special experience going there. The struggle is going to be real however later this summer when I need to choose between blueberry or peach. Thank you Gary and your staff for always providing a positive experience.”

“I agree with other posters... kitchen is slow. We wanted to give them a chance to see for ourselves. The food was really good... omelets were great and cooked well. Home fries were tasty, their homemade beans were really good. We were seated right away and got our coffee fast and then it stalled. I don't know what happens in the kitchen. We waited at least an hour for our food. I'd rate higher if the kitchen had worked better. Not sure if we will go back because of that. Ashame because everything else was great. Servers were friendly, place is clean, and they were busy.”

“I love this place. My father lives nearby. Now that he is in a wheelchair we can get in and out easily with their ramp. The people there are so polite and helpful. The food is great and plenty of it. You order at the counter but they bring the food to you. They have booths and tables for seating. There is a bar area next to the restaurant if that interests you. Give it a try if you are in the area. It's worth it.”

“I have gone to the restaurant when it opened a few weeks back and I loved the food. I had recently visited them again and am happy to have the same good quality being maintained . Ambience is great . Customer service is excellent. Very courteous. I feel like they need to have the BAR as quickly as possible. It's teasing to see the bar setup. but no alcohol/beer this summer. They told me it's going to come soon . I hope it's worth the wait. Is it all good... of course there is scope for lot of improvement.”
