A delicious brunch; I recommend eggs Benedict with the smoked salmon. Everything was perfect; however, some dessert options would be nice, especially if one is treating WHT's brunch as a Saturday lunch.
This was mine and my husband's first visit to Woods Hill Table and it was absolutely supreme, courtesy of Adele our exceptional waitress, the supporting staff and their amazing chef. We were recommended by my husband's coworker & chef Olivier, and it is easily going to be a top recommendation of ours.
We started with the bucatini appetizer which, granted, was a bit tricky to share but it was entirely worth the effort. Noticeably fresh ingredients and great hearty flavors.
Compliments of the house, we received a summer sausage platter that was absolutely phenomenal. It had an incredible umami flavor that easily solidified it as the best of its kind. I'd have bought a helping of it outright, if they sold it by the lb. at the table.
For dinner we had the pork and lamb dishes, respectively. By this time in the night, I was expecting nothing less the delicious flavors I got: balsamic, peach and pesto purée, smokey grilled vegetables, and zesty and tender pork.
It was dessert that stole the show though. How could we not at least try their dessert after the amazing dinner we had? They have their own pastry chef! At our waitresses recommendation we got several desserts that centered around particular flavors: Green Apple, Chocolate, and London Fog. Each of the desserts was so incredibly unique, I can't even begin to describe their varied ingredients, but we indiscriminately DESTROYED them.
Throughout the night we had some great conversation with Adele, who was incredibly charming and had a subtle witty humor. We will most DEFINITELY be back with friends and I certainly hope we can chat with Adele again.
Excellent diversity on the menu. Among the table, we shared all the appetizers /small bites (except for the soup), and they were all tasty and unique. If I were only getting one, I would go for the broccoli. As for dessert, try the green apple - like cilantro on your dessert? I didn't know that I would, but again, unique and delicious. Going out to dinner is always more enjoyable when there are unique offerings on the menu, and Woods Hill Table definitely delivers on this! Very nice evening.
Rarely have I been to a nice restaurant and found nothing on the menu appealing. On my most recent visit I found the food over-seasoned too. Both are a matter of personal taste, but after trying the place three times, I don't plan to return. Other than too much salt, the menu was well executed. The service was excellent.
