    Very solid first expierence. I went and tried two things I've never tried before a torta, and beef tongue. It wasn't offputting as it sounds its like a soft steak. Nothing blew me away but I look forward to visiting again as everything was very well made and the service was quick.

    Although Chilacates is tiny, their food is flavorful and tasty. In an area already saturated with Mexican restaurants, their menu stands out. I had a tasty elote with a potato and chorizo tostada and a sweet horchata (rice) water. I can't wait to go back and try one of their tamales.

    Quite good tacos and tamales. Maybe the tostadas just aren’t my jam. Would be happy to go back.

    Love this place. Once you walk in you will notice the Frida painting on the wall (right side). Food is mouth watering delicious. The crew is amazing. Staff very friendly and also can communicate in Spanish with them. A new gem in Chestnut Hill!
