Today we tried Ding Kitchen’s Coconut Chicken Base stew (non- spicy hot pot). It uses fresh coconut water as the soup base to cook fresh alive chicken. It comes with a special dipping sauce. The first bite made me feel like I was traveling to Southeast Asian countries. It was non- msg but umami. In the soup base, you could taste the balance of sweet coconut water and salt. After you swallow it, you can still enjoy the aftertaste of freshness.

The lobster sticky rice stir-fry is also well worth trying. Many New England restaurants try to make lobster in different ways. I like this dish better than paella. It has a whole hard shell of a large lobster, enough for 4-6 people.

Parking is very convenient. There are more than 100 spaces right in front of the entrance. No need to worry about tickets at all, and it is easy to find a parking space every time.

The restaurant is bright and clean, and a few seats at the entrance are more like eating in a greenhouse/sun room. It is a very good venue for parties.

Their signature dessert is coconut jelly, which is well worth trying and is made from fresh coconuts. And the service is great, they won't make you regret paying a tip.

The only thing to note is that coconut chicken comes with bones. If you are not good at gnawing on the bones, you will need to talk to the waitress before you order.

Fantastic food, humongous portions. Very good value for money.

The Stir-Fried Lobster with Glutinous Rice seems to be a regular on every table. Peking duck is my favourite here. Both dishes were excellent. The lobster was seriously one of the best I’ve had in a long while - very juicy and sweet and cooked perfectly. The pancake came with the duck is so soft and yum.

Four dishes for 4 people is definitely enough.

Great local atmosphere. Friendly staff. Everything you’d expect from a long time Newton restaurant.

    Highly recommend this place.

They specialize in seafood, so, stick to that and you can't go wrong!

The food is awesome. I have been tried so many Chinese restaurants in Cambridge & Newton. This one is the real so-called authentic Chinese cuisine . Their coconut chicken soup was one of my favorite. I also give them a thumb up for their seafood. In general I gave this restaurant a five stars review. Will definitely be back soon.
