Super cute Taiwanese cafe in Newtonville, 2-minute walk from the Commuter Rail stop.
They have a limited selection of boba tea. The Taro mini tapioca was very good. I had it at full-sugar level, and it was not too sweet.
Menu was inspired by Taiwanese traditional street food, such as popcorn chicken, bean curd, etc. Popcorn chicken was flavorful, hint of five spice but not overpowering, and the white pepper on top for added nostalgia. Outside was coated with potato starch, which gave a nice crunch, but also light and not greasy. Bean curd was delicious, and has a flavorful sauce.
Beef noodle soup was decent. I ordered the beef rib noodle soup, which came with a massive rib. But it was $23, so I wouldn't expect anything less. The beef was fork tender, and easy to eat. Noodles were a bit overcooked, need to be more chewy. Also missing the pickled mustard greens.

Very authentic Taiwanese food. The broth tastes like 陽春麵!The chicken cutlets and popcorn chicken is so so so gooooood! The chef is a very cute but professional grandma!

The sesame ball is also great! I will come visit here everyday! It is the best Taiwanese restaurant in the great Boston area.

A brand-new Taiwanese restaurant in the Newton area. The food is very good and fresh, the environment is clean and the staffs are friendly! Highly recommend popcorn chicken & beef needles with mild spicy. You can customize the Mango milk with bubbles even if that is not on the menu. All are good! (FYI: There are many parking lots right across the street)

A must try if you want a good and authentic Taiwanese food!
The taste is very very good and the price are very reasonable.

I especially enjoy the popcorn chicken!

That said, the options could be improved a bit. The noodle is just regular noodle and the beef is very thin sliced.

Glad I was able to find this place as it recently opened. Ordered a decent amount of dishes first time here but my favorites so far are definitely the medium spicy popcorn chicken and the brown sugar milk tea. Not a lot of seats inside but the workers are friendly and the place is very cozy.
