Mad Raven

It was our first time here from PA. Our waiter was wonderful and very kind. The food could be described as “comfort food”. It tastes like a hug in your mouth. The Raven Burger was large but extremely delicious. My family was very jealous of each other’s meals. I would (and intend to) return to this place. 10/10 in my book.

Happened to be walking past when I saw the UEFA Champions League final was on, needless to say we watched the rest of the game here amongst some livel fans - just the type of atmosphere you'd expect at an Irish pub. Solid bar apps and a fun atmosphere with open windows on a beauty of a day, no complaints here.

Besides not having bitters to make a drink that is on their menu, my time here was great. The bartender was attentive and the atmosphere was laid back. From my experience good place to grab a pint or two. I did not try the food.

I had to write a second review just for brunch. The Mad Raven really stepped up its game in terms of menu items and quality of food. The three-egg omelette with bacon and sausage is honestly one of the best I have ever had. And the poached eggs/hollandaise with the benedict is delicious. It's a simple brunch menu, but now has blueberry pancakes, breakfast quesadillas and breakfast pizza. And it is much better than it has been in the past, and is quite possibly turning into my go-to brunch spot on Saturdays. Very happy to see this place improving in all aspects (not that I had any real gripes to begin with).

Hands down my favorite pub in Waltham. Good food and good drinks at reasonable prices- good brunch on the weekends too. Attentive and friendly staff. Nice environment with cool decor. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fresh pint in a good pub.
