I had been to their Brookline location and really liked it, so my expectations were really high going in. The food wasn't bad. I feel like it could've been better. The pizza is more like a very flat bread and sauceless, so the toppings fall off. It's a bit difficult to eat. The bolognese is ok. Their mushroom dish was ok too. I wish they had more puree and more mushrooms or something. I can't put my finger on it, but something felt missing. The milanese wasn't bad! But, same thing. Something felt missing. The brocilini dish was ok. The pieces on our plate were quite thick, but flavorful. The braised meatballs are good, but slightly dense. I thought they would be fluffy. Their desserts are good. I am still a fan. The service is great, the place is clean. The food could be better, but it's not bad! I think I will need to try some of their other plates.
Great spot, delicious food and fantastic service. I’ve dinned here a couple of times and both were wonderful. A couple of my menu favorites are the crispy cauliflower and roasted chicken pizza. The restaurant is beautiful inside, has a large bar with lots of seating and outdoor patio too.
Bar 'Cino has an upscale metropolitan feel that sets it apart in the Watertown downtown area. We sat at the bar and had great service, with a good drink selection and great menu with options that have a good range of price and variety.
I ordered a pizza which can easily be eaten by one person if they're hungry. My partner got the risotto and found it very tasty. I will say that at least for our entrees the portion size will likely not leave much for leftovers.
If you're in the area it's worth a stop in, they book up quickly so if be prepared to sit at the bar if you don't make a reservation or feel like waiting. Service will be good regardless.
Went here for dinner on a Sunday night. The place was empty and it was easy to get a seat.
The appetizers were superb. I would.highly recommend either the braised meatball or the cauliflower.
The kids menu was good and we got our toddler the spaghetti and meatballs which came out very quickly and he enjoyed.
The carbonara was so so, it didn't have much going on. The pasta was fresh and very tasty but it could have used more meat and cheese.
Very nice bistro feel to the space. Ordered the orecchiette which was excellent, all of the flavors from the pesto to the chicken were wonderful and blended nicely with the sweet/tartness of the tomatoes. Also had the 10,065 km cocktail to drink, which had a refreshing and light orange citrus taste.
The waitress and host were also fantastic, and were welcoming and informative.
I would highly recommended this place!
