Grumpy White's Restaurant

Still coming back to Grumpy’s after all these years (25 y). Food is consistent, staff upbeat and attentive, prices are fair. Small selection of draft beers and they make good cocktails at the bar. In the winter there is nothing like a crock of French onion soup to warm you up. Spring / Summer the lobster roll is a staple with generous amounts of meat on a toasted roll. Burgers are excellent. The ‘must try’ menu item is Grumpy boneless fried chicken w/ mashed potato, corn and homemade gravy.

Small relaxing restaurant with good family atmosphere. Traditional home-cooked meals with generous portions. Very friendly staff. Outside deck seating available in mild weather. Evening pub-like activities like sports bars as well.

My sister-in-law and I went to Grumpy White's today 7/2/22019. Waitress was friendly and hospitable as always. I had the delicious lazy man's lobster and opted for a caesar salad in place of the fries. My sister-in-law chose the haddock with fries. The plate had 2 huge pieces of haddock fried to a golden color and was piled with french fries. I had to have a few fries because they are that good. No need for ketchup, it would have diminished the flavor of the fries. I am sitting at home thinking, I want more of those tasty fries. I will be going back at the end of the week. Great atmosphere.

This place has great food and great prices. The staff is great as well. They have plenty of TV's to watch the game. Nice short menu. Food comes out nice fresh & fast. We had Debbie as our wait staff. She was great she was fun to talk to. So swing by for some nice local food. Thanks again guys for another great meal.
