“This was our second stop on the K&J Retired Persons Lobster Roll Tour 2019. This quaint store makes a great lobster roll. There is no indoor seating so go on a nice day or plan to do takeout. The lobster was fresh and cold. The pieces were small so it was not chewy. However, the small bits allowed the scallions and celery to add a subtle taste. That, along with the lite mayo and hint of lemon made for a tasty meal. I highly recommend the coleslaw as it had small bits of apple and cranberry. The seating outside is small but pleasant. Highly recommended. Clearly in the top five of the many lobster rolls we have had.”

Best cozy bar on the South Shore and there are three different types of dining rooms plus out doors in summer. Something for everyone, and prices are moderate. “Great selection of beer and a variety of food items to order. We went with the bar snacks: meatballs, buffalo cauliflower and roasted brussel sprouts. The cauliflower was great being lightly breaded and fried, tasty with texture, but not so much breading and sauce as is common in other places. The sprouts were also outstanding: well roasted and covered with an interesting sauce. The meatballs were just a little lacking. They were tasty but just missing some sort of texture on the outside of the ball.”

“I was on the road today and needed to pick something up for lunch. A coworker suggested Benchwarmer. I called in my usual ham & cheese with mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and hot peppers, toasted. Very quick, my order was ready when I arrived. I love shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes....however, they forgot the hots. Not a big deal, just a preference, my sandwich was great. I'd go back again.”

“I'm from out of town, and this was recommend by a local. I was not disappointed. It is takeout only, but there are a few benches nearby you can sit and munch at, which is what I did. They have brick oven pizzas, burgers, and some sammies. I ordered the fig and prosciutto personal sized pizza, with spinach and ricotta, and a slightly sweet glaze. It was fantastic. And the staff was super helpful and friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely come back.”

“Celebrated our 26th anniversary with dinner and drinks at the Sun Tavern. Our filet and tips were cooked to perfection and our drinks were delicious. Our waitress was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, personable and attentive. She made us feel welcome and we left feeling like we had known her for years! We cant wait to go back and when we do, we will be sure to ask for Sasha. Highly recommend!”
