Found after an exhaustive online search for a place with good food and good children's options, when the one we'd gone to had stopped taking names due to wait times.

Amazing food, cool wharf building, friendly and attentive hosts, and our server, Alex was awesome.
On foot in Boston with 2 small kids in a stroller. About an extra 1.5 miles walk from where we were when we found it online.

2.5mi walk back to the hotel. Well worth every step!

Truly the best New England clam chowder in Boston!

You get the real dockyard experience here. From the views of the pier to the old photos on the walls showing some of the piers history. They get quite busy here but the food service is superb and they really get your food out quick.

I ordered the best fish and chips along with the clam chowder while my wife ordered the lobster and seafood pasta. The fish was super tender and it overly greasy. The “chips” were the perfect mix of potato and crunch. The lobster tender and the sauce delicious.

Great place to get a view and dinner.

Seafood was great, absolutely fresh and cooked to perfection. We had a table next to a window, gorgeous view. Mixed drinks were great as well. We had a perfect date night on our first trip to Boston. Would come back again.

    Best clam chowder in Boston!

Authentic restaurant right on the harbour - bar seats are first come first served and a small dining area available for reservation. We had a drink and chowder at the bar while we waited for our table (about 30 minutes). And then we had heaping plates of fried shrimp with chips and fish and chips.

Food was great but, be warned the chowder is very filling - we didn't even finish half of our plates because we were so stuffed from the chowder!

    Great view and great vibe!

Okay this little area I kept calling little Italy but I think the map has a noted as the north end. I'm going to reference it as a little Italy because that's what it reminded me of when I was in San Francisco. So little Italy was awesome. It was my go-to place fur food for coffee for shopping for dessert for fun. People watching. It's a hoot. Parking again is stupid, no other word, just stupid and expensive. My husband has a heart condition so we had to drive versus walk or ride a bike which is obviously the preferred mode of transportation in this area. But little Italy and Hanover Street is a must do. If you've never been to Boston before, go to the north end/Little Italy and be prepared to walk and eat. There's so many places I would recommend, but then I would have to admit that I've been to all of those places in a two-day period and I'm not willing to do that. Let's just say in the three days I was in Boston I gained more weight than I've gained on a 7-day cruise. Thanks little Italy
