The grill cheese sandwich with a cup of soup is a great value, the sandwich contained a generous amount of cheese and the tomato soup was very good. The serving size of the fish and chips was generous, so a very good value. The fish was cooked perfectly, but the batter was a little under seasoned. The food arrived promptly, and hot. The wait staff was inattentive.

I hosted a private dinner for Boston Sales Leaders in the Beacon Room of Carrie Nation and it was a fantastic experience. The type of dinner I host is tricky because we have people swap tables throughout the dinner. Margie and her staff were super on top of it and stuck to my timing agenda to the T. My 20 dinner attendees loved the food and drinks, which were incredible. Big shout out to Kara and Kelly-Ann, the fantastic waitresses that helped us out. They were both professionals and a delight to work with. Also shout out to Frank, the host, who was an absolute joy.

Overall, if you're looking to host a flawless dinner in a fun and funky spot, do not hesitate to reach out to Margie to have your event at Carrie Nation. I will definitely be booking with them again. Thanks again to the team for making our evening such a success! Cheers!

This is consistently one of my favorite places to go in Boston. If you're going for food I recommend going early in the evening before it gets busy. I've never had any issue with the food here, it's always been great. The staff have always struck a great balance; by being attentive without being overbearing, that alone is enough to keep me coming back. They have a great selection of cocktails and other drinks; beers and such of course too. The only "issue" I've ever experienced here was perhaps some heavily poured drinks. That would never be a complaint from me however my date on that particular night found her drink difficult to drink. Not to worry, the bartender provided a lighter version of the drink without charge and I had a very wobbly walk to the cab by the end of the night. The pool tables and bar at the back certainly add to the post meal experience, after a great dessert menu to wrap up at the table.

Pretty awesome! Very nice inside. Quiet but not too quiet. Definitely old Boston feel - all the waitresses had awesome Irish/Boston accents when I was there, pretty cool. Good drinks, cheap ($15 unlimited) pool. Definitely recommend

Came here for a friend's birthday, and was oh so pleasantly surprised. The place has an old school old boy's club feel, with leather seats, dark lighting, wood paneling, the works. And the cocktails are just amazing. Their bartenders really know their craft. And surprisingly enough, they're not that expensive, pretty much on par with drinks at Boston nightclubs. Definitely a place to check out.
