City Bar Back Bay

Quaint little bar, Great cocktails, super friendly staff, inside a gorgeous hotel. Food looked amazing too!

The Cod was very delicious, the oysters where beyond fresh and the service was great. If you ever visit the world famous Lenox motel in Boston. You have to check out City Bar Back Bay, it will be some if the best money, you ever spent. Which every bite will attest too.

It's a swanky little hotel bar that gets busy in the evening. Great drinks and food was awesome. Come early or it will be standing room only. Oh also, dress in your best to impress. 😏

The bar is located on the ground floor of the Lennox Hotel. You can't reserve a table, so you have to show up and, if it's not too crowded, you can start by going in and ordering a drink. For the table you have to be careful to occupy one as soon as it becomes available. The atmosphere is really nice for after dinner drinks. The drinks taste really good.

My group went to this small cocktail lounge in the Lenox Hotel after getting food on Newbury. Generally we enjoyed the cocktails, but some liked them more than others. I had the Kentucky Blues and would order it again. We liked the darker lit atmosphere as it made for a more relaxing experience. The crowd from the one time I was there was generally on the “older” side (35+) so just keep that in mind. If I was nearby at night I would stop in and get a drink for sure.
