Ichiban Yakitori Sushi House

BENTO BOX PERFECTION. This small Japanese eatery on the Symphony Hall block has lots of yummy dishes to choose from: sushi, an impressive array of grilled skewers (we had the fish cakes, which were good but not served well by the dash of cumin that seemed to have been added), Korean dishes like bibimbap, and best of all, a very satisfying Bento box.

I had the tempura one, which came with two big pieces of shrimp, four generous pieces of veggie tempura, two pieces of California roll, a couple of appetizers, salad, and soup, all for a mere $12! It was a steal - and everything was cooked to perfection.

I would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

When things go wrong Ichiban will always correct it. That's worth 5 stars. Tastes good too.

please come here. love the seating, great place to go on a date. ask them about sushi that comes with dry ice. its just for presentation, but it's a bit of a "wow" factor.

This is a nice and cozy place. The grill was delicious, seasoned just right, not too much that over power the flavor of the food. However, they forgot our sushi order. Had to wait another 45 mins after finish our food for them to remember our other orders, and bring it out. By that time we were kind of full already. The sushi feels like it was made in a hurry, so it was falling apart easily when you pick it up. Plus lots of rice to the seafood ratio in the sushi. We were the last one to leave because of the wait.
