Midnight Morning

Wow! This place is so amazing! I just had the loveliest lunch at Midnight Mornings - eggplant BLT - delicious!! With a side of kale Caesar. My husband got a burger with fries and we both had iced tea. The food was really really good and the ambiance is so super lovely. We chatted with owner, Virginia, and I’m just floored at what she’s done with the space. She clearly has an eye for decor and restaurant feel. We will definitely be back for weekend brunch and dinner! I’m just so happy to have a place like this in Roslindale!

This place in Roslindale is one of the most tasteful places to eat in the city!

And arugula fennel orange salad (which is vegan btw!) was delightful. As was the watermelon sorbet my son enjoyed very much.

AND the have things for kids, including bookshelf with books!

Exceptional restaurant! I rarely write reviews anymore but felt compelled to for Midnight Morning because our dinner last night was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. I got the parsley & kale pasta, and my husband got the eggplant BLT. Everything was made from scratch, so fresh, and absolutely delicious! We also loved the torte for dessert. I really appreciated their robust non-alcoholic drink options, too! We sat at the bar, but their back patio is lovely! We will definitely be back ASAP, and I very highly recommend it!

I have eaten here a couple of times and had the fried rice tofu both times. It was delicious! They have creative drinks and moxtails. The food was served hot and quickly.

Staff is friendly and efficient! I love the decor too! I will be back soon.

I’m so happy this place is in our neighborhood! I most recently ate here for dinner with two adults and a toddler.

Highlights:
- The restaurant team were great — kind, present, but not pushy
- they are very kid-friendly — they got us set up right away with a high chair, and the mac and cheese on the kids menu was great by kid and adult standards
- the tonkatsu sandwich was great
- delicious fries
- really nicely done scallops (crispy on the top and bottom, creamy in the middle)
- gluten free, vegan brownie — fudgey and a great end to the meal

I’ve been there a couple times and this most recent visit (Feb 2024) was the best in terms of food. I think their menu is getting more creative and consistent. I was underwhelmed by the steamed veggies that came with the scallops, but that’s my only critique of this visit!
