I first tried this place in March after seeing a video on Instagram. I'm particular about the noodle thickness with it comes to ramen and when I saw the video, my interest was piqued. I was so excited to see that they had curry ramen (option to make it spicy); my boyfriend got spicy miso. Both were so good!!!! Good portion size. The spice level is good and not too hot (though both of us usually eat incredibly spicy). Initially the website /app wasn't working great, but the server helped us and placed the order like normal. They have since fixed the problem. I ordered take out a few times after and didn't have an issue placing an order and the food was just as good. They even threw in a sticker lol. Such a convenient and delicious place for my ramen craving 🍜

Great new addition to Allston’s ramen scene.

With so many ramen restaurants in Allston, Yakima initially seemed like a just another ramen spot. Their menu, as expected, offered the usual light Japanese appetizers, ramen, and some rice bowls. However, I was quite surprised to find out that their ramen was better than the most, particularly with its exceptional broth.

From their appetizers, Takoyaki and Gyoza were solid, but the standout for me was the Aburi Chasu. It was essentially the same pork belly toppings they use on their ramen, and despite being a bit fatty, its tenderness and subtle smokiness were enjoyable.

The real highlight was, of course, their ramen. The Tonkotsu Ramen boasted a broth that struck a perfect balance of savory depth, achieving richness without being excessively fatty. While the other toppings were standard, the broth's quality was so impressive that it prompted me to order another one for delivery later on. The Curry Chicken Don was just okay, but it was the ramen that truly set Yukiya apart.

Yukiya has been on my radar since I saw their mascot driving in Allston before they even opened. I finally got the chance to stop in and I was very satisfied by the visit. Within the group we ordered 3 different ramens and karage.
The tonkatsu broth in both the regular and spicy were wonderfully creamy and so full of flavor. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth clung onto them so well. The toppings were pretty standard with nice tender chashu and fresh veggies. The karage was also pretty solid but the noodles and broth overwhelmingly stole the show.
For spice lovers, the spicy tonkatsu is a must. I did not respect the spice enough at first and even ate the pepper that came with it and it left me coughing a little. But the spicy didn’t mask the deep flavor of the broth so I couldn’t stop myself from doing back in.

I’ve been walking past this place for months while it was getting ready to open so I was super excited to try it when it finally opened! and let me tell you, the wait was WORTH IT. I like that you have the option to order at the counter or scan to order at a table. I didn’t know it but this place also doubles as a bubble tea shop! I ordered Ramen, Gyoza, and Lychee Lemonade. The Tonkotsu ramen is sooooooooo good. The broth is literally revitalizing. The Lychee lemonade I swear I could drink gallons of, it was so good. and the Gyoza were seared to perfection. Also the interior of this place is cute as heck. This place might have topped my new favorite ramen place in town. I can’t wait to go back. 🤤

Update: it’s been less than a month and i’ve already gone back. Again, Yukiya outdid themselves. 10/10 the best ramen spot in town😍😍

Got to check out this new spot in Allston and loved every bit of my experience. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was so flavorful! I usually don’t like spicy foods but I ate this whole bowl. I also loved how the hatcho miso ramen wasn’t overly salty, and comes with both chashu and chicken. The gyudon was tasty and the appetizers were great too. Don’t sleep on their smoothies! The ambiance is casual and there is a cute comic like mural on the wall. Definitely will be back!
