I must say that I was hesitant to try this place, but I'm so glad I did. I had boiled crab legs, with shrimp and lobster tail, that came with potatoes and corn, let's not forget the Hook & Reel sauce, it was fantastic!!!!???????????????? Restaurant was well decorated according its the name. My husband and I were well greeted and quickly brought to a table for 2. I noticed when we sat down that our table had a big bucket with all you need to dive in to your seafood including gloves and plastic bibs. My husband and I didn't hold back in ordering from the menu and with all we ate including desserts for each of us, it was a total of $80. Now that may be alot for some of you, but it was perfect pricing for us. It was all worth it. We are definitely going to make this our go to restaurant when we crave seafood. Oh, and the bathrooms also offer mouth wash in a cup for free for those who want to get the mouth refreshed. Hands down great place. Can't wait to go back.
My first experience was brought home to me and it was a huge no. Second chances and all that, I visited on a date night.
It's a cute setup and the hostess was pleasant. My seat rocked, but no big deal.
Our server, Mack, was wonderful!! Such a nice lady and she was right about the crab fries!!
I didn't care for the clams very much and the cook is stingy with the garlic. If garlic is in the name, I shouldn't have to search for it.
Overall, it's an average establishment with a gem or two on the menu, but I would visit again. Without Mack and the crab fries, 2 1/2 stars.
Excellent experience. Our server (Ashley) was friendly and very attentive. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was fresh and new. The "spicy" (medium) level of spice was a little more intense spice than anticipated, but it was perfect for my palate. However, I could see how this level may be too much for someone with less spice-tolerance. The combination options were very good, and I definitely recommend ordering a full pound of your favorite seafood. We had a minor issue with the order, which was quickly and professionally addressed. We will absolutely be back to enjoy more excellent food very soon.
Ate at Hook & Reel today. Pretty nice place. Food is good, would have love to seen fried whole clam belly’s on the menu though. But all in all it’s a nice place. Staff is really nice and friendly. Liked the staff with the creative eye glasses, pretty neat. I got the scallop boil with noodles and eggs. enormous amount of noodles and scallops. It was like a scallop scampi with boiled eggs. Next time I’m going to try the crab boil. It is a must try. At the end of our meal a man came over and asked us if we enjoyed our meal. Very nice people. I recommend you try it at least once, you might enjoy it as I did.
