Was good food and luckily they're open late compared to the rest of the town so was nice to grab after a long day of hiking
I'm in Munising vacationing with my family. I have read mixed reviews about Alley Cats. We thought we'd give it try. I'm glad we did. The staff was friendly, timely and the chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Great flavor as well. Prices were good. I recommend you try them. Thanks for the good food Chef DJ.
Started our waterfall tour by having a lunch at Alley Cats. The food was good, the fries were like a steak fry/curly fry mixed together. We had the chicken tenders and white fish. The food was good, the tarter sauce was really good. The chicken breading had a little spice to it, nothing crazy, but it’s not plain Jane. Though the food was good, the prices were pretty high and they only had bottled drinks, though that does include 2liters of pop.
So I saw the reviews and that's what brought me in. I do not think the reviews are accurate probably mostly friends and family. The fish was a bit gamey tasting the breading definitely left more to be desired. The fries looked cool and out of this world but underwhelmed on flavor. The one place the fries could have been saved would have been a high quality awesome ketchup and the ketchup was of poor quality bringing the whole meal down. The tarter sauce was unique and good a 7.5 The meal looked to be an 8 butt only came in as a 6 on taste. Overall I would give the restaurants meal and service a 3.9 out of 5 stars.
The price is extremely high so the rating I feel is justified being detailed.
$19 for 2 pieces of fish, fries, coleslaw and small biscuit...ikes $$$$
The whitefish was absolutely delicious. I didn’t get to try the chicken. The fries and slaw were good and I really liked the tartar sauce.
