“Oh my! if you are in the area I suggest you eat here if you like steaks! They are huge, and so good! Pricey a little but so worth it! I guess at certain times you can actually grill your own too, but we were there when that grill (inside grill) was not going. Plus I would rather when eating at a restaurant have someone else cook for me anyway! Part of the reason I go! But I can see how that would/might be fun with a group of friends/family. I ate the tenderloin and hubby got the New your strip. Both were fantastic! The bake potato that came out with mine was so small, and the bread was over cooked, but the waitress asked for a replacements and it was done just fine. So if something is not right, it was no issue.”

“Local restaurant with great food! We were in the area visiting and found this gem. It is managed by two really nice ladies and you can tell all the locals go there because of their hospitality. The breakfast was really good, pancake was huge and delicious! It is a bit tricky to find but it’s right across the school”

“If you’re looking for some awesome local freshly made fish and chips, this is your place. It’s just a bit out of downtown Munising. If you like fish, I recommend getting the Lake Superior trout. I got the 3 piece Fried Fish Basket and it was a huge portion of fish, fresh crispy French fries, coleslaw, and homemade tartar sauce. They also had a few drinks for purchase or chicken strips. There are picnic tables in front of the food truck and it’s right on the lake. Great spot after a long day of kayaking!”

“Some of the best pasties in the u.p. if we have a choice, this is the place we stopped. This time I tried the chicken which was very good. They have some nice covered picnic tables for shade or shelter from a drizzle. My recommendation is to make sure you grab an apple pie pastie for dessert because they are amazingly good, and not to be missed.”

“It is not exaggerating to say that this is one of the top 5 meals I've had in my life. Everything was amazing. Staff were very accommodating and so nice! The cheese curds alone are worth the trip!! “It's a "thing" to eat a pasty while traveling in Michigan's Upper Peninsula - a meal staple for miners back in the day. They are still popular today - perhaps more so, with a variety of ingredients, but always baked inside that flaky crust. So, when visiting Munising recently, I stopped by Miners ... two days in a row, and got The Yooper (classic). The first night I also indulged in ice cream - I believe it was blueberry & cheesecake. Definitely worth the visit(s).”

“Food was amazing !!! I would 100% recommend. The wait time was relatively short. The nice thing is they are partnered with the bar next door so you can sit in the bar area and wait for your food to be delivered to you. Everything was made to perfection and reasonably priced. It is a food truck so it’s only outside seating unless you go to the bar next door.”

“Stopped hete after a picture rocks boat tour for a snack and was pleasantly surprised! Ordered an iced caramel latte, iced vanilla latte and cinnamon roll. All where really good. I just wished they would have added more flavor to the lattes and they didn't ask if I wanted non dairy milk. Other than that, place was clean and staff was friendly so I would recommend it. They also have ice cream so I look forward to giving that a try next time!”

“Main Street Pizza in Munising provides ample portions. Take out only, which fits the humble building housing this restaurant. Expect a calzone to be more than a pizza folded in half. Understand why they advertise for more help. Staff a bit surly. Took 20 minutes to get food as a walk in. Posted sign warns they may not answer the phone.”

“Started our waterfall tour by having a lunch at Alley Cats. The food was good, the fries were like a steak fry/curly fry mixed together. We had the chicken tenders and white fish. The food was good, the tarter sauce was really good. The chicken breading had a little spice to it, nothing crazy, but it’s not plain Jane. Though the food was good, the prices were pretty high and they only had bottled drinks, though that does include 2liters of pop.”

“We stopped here 3 days in a row while we were staying in Munising as they had the best breakfast menu we could find in town. Over those 3 visits we enjoyed omelettes, skillets, French toast, the cinnamon roll, and coffee. Our service was always prompt and courteous, and by day 3 our server was automatically coming to the table with a regular and decaf pot of coffee, remembering our order from the previous day. All of our meals came quickly and the food was great. We also appreciate their semi healthy options like the Bridal Veil omelette!”

“Great little spot for beer and pizza. They don't technically have pizza, but it's in the same building. The beer was good, they had a nice variety and the service was good. There were a couple fruit beers and some dark ones too. While we were there a musical act was playing downstairs. They played some great covers and we really liked it. “Their gluten free pizza is also dairy free! Just got some great pizzas from here. I got the meat pie on a GF crust with no cheese and it was delicious! They forgot to add the pineapple I asked for, but they happily gave me a cup when I asked. I actually found I prefer cold pineapple on a hot pizza now, so it worked out! Also ordered a cheese pizza and their cheesy garlic bread, which was great according to my family. The staff were very friendly and working hard to keep everything going quickly. A few indoor seating options, more outdoor available.”

“It was a mixed bag. I had a great Reuben sandwich, but my wife had a vegetarian rice bowl that was devoid of flavor. They were extremely busy and had actually run out of many items on the menu. Because of this we had to order some things we would not normally get. My son had a Mac and cheese creation with chicken that was pretty good. It's in the same building as By George brewery, so we sat outside on the brewery patio and the food was brought to us there, so that was nice. I would return if in the area again, but maybe earlier in the day before they run out of supplies.”

“While traversing the UP I saw the logo on the food trailer. I was sold on the logo alone and had to stop. Great idea! The food was excellent. Happy happy hippo was a delicious fish taco. Obnoxious rooster also delicious. As good as the food was, the churro donut was the star of the show. Don't get me wrong, food was great but the combination of two of my favorite foods with the churro donut blew my mind. I kayaked several hours to do some sightseeing and should have used it as an excuse to get more churro donuts. If you're in the area and looking for a quick bite make the stop.”

“Great putt putt course!! Very well maintained and mostly tree covered so cooler when hot out. The water falls/features throughout make it very fun and add interest to the course! The greens are fun and well laid out. Would definitely do it again!! Ice cream/Italian ice is very good as well although a bit pricey. We had a great time here👍🏻👍🏻”

“The service was great the food was wonderful the atmosphere was very homestyle the waitresses definitely treated you like family they wanted to have around the ceiling was very ornate it was surprising when you walk in from the street to see you know just the small door outside but boy when you come in they even have free pool tables and they give you dessert each meal I enjoyed my time at this tavern and can't wait to go back”
