Shanty Creek Resort - Ivan’s Cafe

Ivan's is always very busy on the weekends. Food is good and entertainment is provided most night on the weekends. The wait staff is helpful and truly earns the tips received.

Good place for a warm up or a drink between runs. Service here as always been questionable, but now that that have the buffet style food court, it's much easier getting food. However the food is not anywhere near as good as it used to be. The prices for the food are a bit much for what you get. I've been coming here for about 10 years now and it's still the same Ivan's. River bistro or the lake view will give you better service and food.

Super friendly bartender. Great selection. Shorts even does a custom brew for the resort...a delicious dark lager (can't remember the name), but ask for it and try it!

Went here on a Saturday for lunch. It was crowded and noisy, but that is to be expected because of all of the skiers taking a break.

Asked for a bread bowl with chili. Got a bread bowl with chili. Was pretty standard chili, nothing special, and the bread bowl wasn't baked that day, but it's way up on a hill so you have to have some understanding. $8 for that was a little pricey, but nothing too much.

Nice little bar, very friendly servers, good selection of beer. A nice place to take a break from skiing to warm up and relax. The specially made 50th Anniversary Schuss Mountain black ale (formerly known as Black Diamond) from Shorts Brewing was a great beer to end a ski day with.
