Really good chicken and home town service. I personally did not like the stuffing, it was a bit too gloopy for me. I know some like that texture, but it's not my favorite. I will definitely be there again.
We have been going to Iva's for years and have never been disappointed. It is like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is like dinner at Grandma's. Home made food from scratch, family participation from cooking your meal to waiting and clearing your table...great service and you can't beat their prices. If you are heading north or south it is just a short detour off from I75 to Sterling. You won't be disappointed.
I wish this place was closer to where I live. The chicken was delicious and just like the way my grandma use to make it with all the fixings. Homemade biscuits, mashed potatoes, stuffing, soup, relish plate, cottage cheese, and a vegetable! The chicken was hot and fresh and right from the skillet to your plate. I'm so glad we stopped, we will be back on the next trip up.
When a place has been around since 1938 you know it has to be good. I remember going there as a child in the late 70's with my grandparents. It's just as good now as it was back then. Also, be sure to bring your appetite because you won't leave hungry.
Family style and order has free refills everything ...what!? The chicken boiled and fried chicken is nice. Fun place and friendly staff but I didn’t feel like doing much else the rest of the day after eating here.
