Wheelers Restaurant

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and it was always good. Today, the lettuce was very brown and wilted on the salad bar. Also my son ordered a French dip sandwich and it came on a hot dog bun. Apparently they were out of steak buns but they should have told us. Hopefully it was just an off day.

Excellent food. The salad bar was tasty. I had the meatloaf special. It was the best I have ever eaten. My husband had the roast beef and amazed by the generous portion and excellent taste. Will definitely stop there again.

Excellent Service from Wheeler's Waitress. It was my first time here at this Historical Up North Michigander Restaurant & the Waitress " Teresa " I believe her name was so friendly & Personable. It's like She knew me all of her life. It's 100% pure Good Ole Home Cooked Meals here. I asked the Waitress what She Recommended for Mexican Food wise since it was my 1st there & She replied " Our Wet Burrito is very good & the best." So, I ordered it. Ate it & it was Delicioso" Delicious " ! This is one great Mom & Pop Place & Restaurant & Wheelers Will Take You Back In Time At The Very Moment That You Step Foot Into Their Restaurant. And You Will Be Glad That You Came Here To Stop & Eat. I Highly Recommend This Place. The Waiting Time for food was fast too.

A real diamond in the rough. Excellent wet burritos. The ground beef with onions and mushrooms was also great. Couldn't have done any better at home. The staff was also efficient and friendly. I wouldn't probably think of this as a "date night" place but for simple and delicious family dining or as a stop along your drive it can't be beat.
