Honestly, Dec. 6th, 2022 was a terrible day. Our tire popped after we hit the rumble strips before the round about to come into Standish. We pulled into shell bc we thought the tire pressure was down, and needed air. Our windshield wipers were messed up too which was a big part of why we stopped also, seeing as it was raining. I was in tears not knowing how I was going to make the rest of our hour and 15 min trip. The older gentleman in the store was so kind. We were going to have to leave the car if we couldn't get a ride. He said he would let the night shift know just in case and promised our car wouldn't be towed. We ended up stuck for over 2 hours in pouring rain. We got someone to come help change the tire. But it wasn't looking good for a while. He let us hang out in the store with my 2yr old niece. He even gave her a juice he paid for himself. I didn't catch his name bc I wasn't even thinking straight so names were the last thing on my mind. He also helped my blind friend with .40 for her purchase. (We were really down on our luck) he even tried to see if maintenance had tools we could use to get the stuck tire off. This man was a gods sent. And I definitely deserves large recognition. I don't think I'll ever be able to say as big enough thanks as he deserves for all his help. If he sees this, thank you sir. Very nice, clean station and store with friendly service and cool souvenirs. Great coffee too!
