Sushi Remix

First time at Sushi remix, ordered the Volcano bowl, had shrimp and spicy tuna in it. The spicy tuna was like a paste, seemed like it was canned tuna with a spicy sauce mixed in, not chunks of spicy Ahi Tuna. The bowl tasted good, but was disappointed with the tuna. I'll be back to try some of the other bowls.

I received a letter concerning jury duty in Bay City's federal court. I live in another county and wanted to practice driving to the court house parking lot. My husband and son, who were navigating this fiasco, chose to eat dinner at Sushi Remix. This was the first time I had seen poke bowls, which are merely deconstructed sushi rolls in my eyes. I'm a type 2 diabetic, so I took one look at the menu and I could feel my glucose levels rising. All that white rice. All that sodium. Yum. I loveeeee white rice and sushi, but I shouldn't eat it. So I didn't eat anything. However, my son and husband ate $15 poke bowls and enjoyed their meals very much. Sushi Remix is an extremely clean little cafe, and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a trendy little bowl of deconstructed sushi.

Tried this recently. Was not crowded so service time was good. Noticed the lack of gloves per other reviews. Seems like this would be health dept issue? Otherwise Volcano and Remix poke bowls were very good. If you like sushi, give this a try.

First, I thought my meal was excellent. The only reason I marked them down was they didn't seem to have a good system to quickly and efficiently take care of customers. While I was there they continually backed up and left one person on the assembly line with no person backing her up. I watched while customers waited 10-plus minutes there were multiple people working there, it just felt like they could have had somebody at least making drinks and taking cash.
