“Fun atmosphere outside! The water views are okay, but nothing spectacular. They had a party going on inside so I did not really spend much time in there during my visit. Good food, the chicken tacos were much better than the steak tacos. The burgers were big and tasty. Bathrooms were clean. The bar seemed a like the place to be if you are sitting inside. The staff seemed polite if not a little slow, avoid the side of the building- that is where they all seem to sit and smoke. It was a decent enough experience and I would like to go back again.”

“It was busy, we grabbed the last table available inside or outside. It seems a bit in organized. Two tables turned over after we arrived and their orders were taken before ours. The of fries pickles we ordered must have sat as they were not overly hot when arrived. They were good. The Italian sandwich burger was cooked well done and dry. Wish they would ask how you would like it prepared. The chicken wrap was light on chicken and heavy on wrap, but tasty. The patty melt was very good. Was not over cooked. Rarely saw our server as we were a table in the back corner.”

“The place is very small and they have several wait staff, but service is slow. The wait staff seemed to be the bartenders also. I ordered a second wine, which came to me wrong. Took me forever to get the waitress again. She again brought me the wrong wine and left. Making me flag her down again. 3rd time I got the correct wine. There wine list is small - no excuse. After the first incorrect wine, she should have waited at the table to make sure. Thankfully the food was great. Invest in a bartender!”

“What an incredible restaurant! Excellent service all the way around. The owner came and chatted with the table asking about our experience and chatted for a bit. They had a very extensive menu at fair prices with a home cooking done very well feel. Owned by a Michigander for Michiganders. The building renovations are worth dining here. What a top notch job, and I love that a lot of the materials were reclaimed. Paper straws too. Save the turtles. Try their loose leaf tea out. Try everything!”

“On my way up North my dad and I stopped here passing through Bay City. I found a delicious burger inside! Nothing extraordinary about the interior, nice and clean, no complaints. It was hot out and we were on motorcycles, if it wasn't for needing to cool down I would have sat outside. We sat at the bar. Bartender was good company, she was cool that we were not ordering cocktails. They had a pretty good selection of bourbon but that doesn't mix well with 2 wheels, I'll have to do that another trip. The crown jewel of the restaurant was my burger. I ordered the Kentucky Derby, made it a double, with sweet potato fries. Fries were cooked well, not overdone, and not too soft. The bourbon onion jam, BBQ sauce, and bacon, all came together in one hell of a burger. When I'm passing through I'd definitely stop by to try another burger.”

“Very nice local bar. We had dinner here during the Tall Ship Celebration. There was a sign on the door indicating service might be slow but we only waited about 15 minutes for a table and our food came out quickly too. Service and food were both good. 1930'ish gangster theme to the decor and menu items add an interesting touch to the experience. Recommend.”

“Clean kept, well decorated, and super friendly service. I enjoyed the drinks, and purchased a piece of cake too. The Moscow mules were good and you can tell made from scratch, but there was way too much ice, and too much mint for the garnish... not sure of the price because a friend paid. I did pay for the cake though and $8 was too much for a slice of cake, home made or not.... Maybe I don't know exactly what it took to make it, to appreciate it. I'll for sure be back though!”

The only nut present is macadamia nuts on top of a dessert, but they are not made in house and are kept far away from the other food so it was no problem! Nice and quick service and amazing prices!”
