“I come here for the truffle fries and the great pizza, and they usually have something interesting going on during the week and weekends. My waitress wasn’t able to answer any of the questions I had about their alcohol because she was under 21 and I guess they didn’t give her training, so that was a little frustrating. Ended up ordering and paying for something I didn’t like, so I think with a little product knowledge they will be the best spot around!”

“Renovated, updated, clean and welcoming reincarnation of Lumberjacks, just opened. It’s a neighborhood bar/cafe for us. Eaten there 3 times. All were yummy. I’d say bar food definitely a step above our expectations. Service and staffing still working out the kinks, but the hands on management is welcoming and up to the task.”

“First time eating here. And I must say fantastic. Where do I start. Friendliest staff I've ever met. Delicious food, that was fast and accurate. Great prices for the food. My 8 year old says she gives this place one million stars. We would definitely eat here again. And recommend. Also I was in love with the old diner decor!!!!”

Set up like a fast food joint with seating inside. Food: 5 - Food is fantastic. I got the Smokestack sandwich. Easily in the top 5 sandwiches I've ever eaten. Service: 5 - Very friendly I loved this place. The food was fantastic. The service was great. This is my new favorite place in Benzie county”

“Visited here for the first time. When we arrived, we were informed that because of a large party that arrived before us, we may experience a delay in our food being served. We appreciated the honesty, however, because of our server's (her name is Just) attentiveness, we didn't feel we waited long at all. When the food arrived, we were impressed with the portion size. Taste was outstanding. The fries were freshly cut. The perch was seasoned well and hot. My son's steak was comes to his preference and seasoned well. Every member of my family loved what they ordered. At the end of our meal, my family wondered why we didn't come here earlier during our vacation. Next time we come to the Empire/Glen Arbor/Honor area, the Platte River Inn will be a regular stop. Thank you for the outstanding experience and great food!”
