“This place was in demand! On a Sunday at lunch there was a line going out the door. The staff was friendly and courteous; we'd never been there before. They were quick to get us seated and the service was exceptional. The one drawback is that we wanted apple juice (or some juice option) for our little one (1 1/2 years old) and the only option available was water or lemonade. Otherwise, the food was great and the prices were reasonable. We would visit again if we were in the area.”

“It was pretty good food wise. The portions for the price are alright and I got my fill and I'm a relatively big guy. The potato salad is great and the sweet sauce is fantastic. The mac n cheese is a little weird but not terrible. The service was also pretty good. The server was kind, pretty quick with getting stuff for our table even if we did sit outside. Everything was clean and tidy and I love the atmosphere with the large bar area. I would recommend eating here if you want decent local barbecue at a sit-down place. They also have take-out available.”

“Stopped in today to grab a Birthday cake. What a pleasant experience from start to finish! They were busy but brought out more help right away. Overheard an employee take a phone call, asking them to hold in the kindest of ways. The young lady who waited on me went out of her way to make sure that I was happy. She even matched the cake frosting! What a great visit with the nicest employees. Got a beautiful (and delicious) cake and found a place with customer service I believed didn't exist anymore.”

To add to this they are terrible about giving you the receipt. Not a big deal to most but I budget extensively and it would really be nice if they would just give me the receipt.”

“It's a pretty slow restaurant so the service is reasonably fast. Food combinations are different but they work. Not a bad place for a reasonably priced and fast lunch. Restaurant seating area and bathrooms are terribly dirty. My Hope is that the kitchen it's not. I give it hope because the order counter is fairly clean along with the drink area.”

And often the total price listed on-line is not what the driver says is owed once he brings the delivery. When I call the store, they say on-line ordering is usually messed up and the best thing do to is to call in. I prefer ordering on-line because I don't hear on the phone very well.”

“Always a fan of Big Big as they are known to have a great menu selection while also being family and kid friendly. I stopped into this location the other day and was wow’d by the staff and management on how well the restaurant was ran. It started off by walking in the front door and being greeted right away by a friendly face and taken right to our table. Drinks were constantly full and our server was friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. The food was excellent being hot and fresh off the grill. I had the classic slim Jim sandwich, which was one of the best I have ever had. The manager, who was going around and speaking to each table, made her way to mine which I had to tell her what a great team they have and how impressed I am with the quality of food and service. Thank you Big Boy Battle Creek for the great service and great food! My family and I look forward to coming back again soon!”
