Mountainside Grille

If you're looking for traditional "up-north diner food" you found it... wrapped in an clean, updated atmosphere and served by friendly competent servers. This chef is not shooting for the newest fusion of blah blah style but instead more commited to a greasy spoon menu in an anything but greasy spoon restaurant... which in my experience is harder and harder to find and sometimes just the thing you're looking for. If that's your mood then I recommend it.

Went in there the other day, my son had the Mac n cheese and loved it. I had a hot beef and my husband had a burger and they were so good! Locally priced and really great food! Staff was friendly also! Next time your in town definitely give it a try!

I visited on a Sunday, early evening, and even though they were slightly understaffed the service was friendly, hustled to tend to each party, and the food was EXCELLENT- definitely worth the wait. My husband got the traditional burger with bacon and cheese and he loved it. I got the grilled CBR sandwich and I could not be happier with it. I wasn't expecting it with pulled chicken and wow- it was awesome. Great atmosphere and decor- I love the rustic, country fishing and hunting look. Very good experience. All the haters need to give it another chance.

My husband had the whitefish basket and really enjoyed it. I had the Michigan cherry salad and it was excellent! A huge amount of cherries and feta cheese which most places tend to skimp on.
Our waitress, Jen, was very attentive and polite. A great experience, would recommend and return.

We were there for breakfast. It was busy and only one waitstaff was there and kitchen was backed up and no bus person. This is a busy week up here and it’s probably good to have more staff. Food was good. Coffee had too much grinds in it; use of better filter recommended. Price was fair.
