The Palace Mexican Restaurant & Saloon

This was an AMAZING old building. Surprisingly enough though, that was still behind the service and the food.
We arrived with a party of 8 which was no problem. Often times in a large numbers the food and service does slack some. This was not the case. Bryan, our waiter did a fantastic job of navigating the kids, drinks, personalities, and dishes. The portage taco's were the best meal I have had in a long time! We will definitely be back. They receive 5 stars for for everything, atmosphere, food, and service! Highly recommend!!!!

Our waiter was so awesome! I just wish I remembered his name. He was new but I couldn't tell because he was great.

The food was great, they let me order a veggie fajita even though it wasn't on the menu. The most amazing thing was that after eating, when it was time to pay, I realized I had left my wallet and keys on the chair outside and I went outside panicking, but the bartender Elyse had stopped me to tell me that someone had turned it in. She took the time to find me and message me on Facebook to make sure I got it back. I would recommend this place anyway. 👏

My pals ordered the street tacos and said they were amazing. 🌮

My FAVORITE restaurant to go to when we visit the Soo. Queso dip is AMAZING with the soft chips..OM goodness 😋! The tamales were a bit overdone this time, but the tasty margaritas made up for it.

I think the overall ambience and history in this restaurant is absolutely amazing.
Upon walking in, it makes you pay attention to the authenticity of the building, the beautiful and cherished woodworking.
We enjoyed our food, our waiter-I think his name was Caleb-had a quick smile, was very knowledgeable about the menu, readily offered recommendations and was an all around great guy!
I did think the menu could have had more offerings, but what they had on the menu available to order was done very well.
