Oakwood Proper Burgers

By far my favorite Burger Place! Fresh locally sourced ingredients. I’ve had 2 of the burgers so far and I’m working my way through the list! The milk shakes are so good. And the fries! Oh my goodness, you’re missing out if you do not stop at Oakwood Proper Burgers when you’re in the area!

Stopped in there and ordered the fries! You will be amazed at how good they are. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere! Also I learned that it's all from our lovely state! No frozen patties, fresh cut fries and the kids really enjoyed their shakes. I personally think the best is that they use non plastic all the way down to the straws.

I just had my second experience at Oakwood Proper Burgers and can happily report that the quality consistency of their product is on point! The PB shake is smooth and dreamy, my boyfriend and I couldn't finish the cajun fries between the two of us, and we didn't even get into our chips! A great value for the price point, especially knowing they source their products from local and Michigan owned companies where they can. A great edition to the Neighborhood that I will be a frequent patron of.

I just got the OakWood burger! It was SUPER good! Yes, they use the finest yet gourmet burger patties! They also told me that it is locally sourced. What a great business! Will be going there a lot, so expect me to be there! Will be trying more! DEFINITELY recommend the shakes and literally everything on the menu! Happy with everything! You all should go! A little away from the downtown foodie circuit, Oakwood Proper Burger is a much needed burger spot on this side of town. We ordered the Oakwood, La Montana, and Ben Franklin. All delicious, gigantic, and packed with flavor. La Montana is a handheld bomb of flavor with spicy jalapeños alongside a huge layer of cream cheese. While I know it’s difficult for locals to see an age old establish leave, Oakwood is a welcomed establishment to take over this location in my opinion! The strawberry milkshake was thick, scrumptious, and creamy. We’ll be sure to try the fries next time!
