My first visit to The Cottage was great. The bread the server brought out to start was very tasty. I had the Fried Chicken with the mashed red skin potatoes. I also chose the salad bar as one of my sides and Black Cherry Cobbler as my dessert. I highly recommend The Cottage for both the food quality as well as the service.

Stopped in on the way home to Battle Creek from beaver island! This place came highly recommend by some friends and we had to try the banana nut bread French toast! So delicious along with everything else we tried! Lori was a fantastic server ! We will definitely come back when we are in town!

The food was really great, I got bacon, hash browns, eggs over medium and sourdough toast. The service? Exceptional. My boyfriend and I have had the worst luck lately with service at diners/restaurants. We had coffee and water within 2 minutes of sitting down. We had food within 15 minutes of sitting down. Our server was fast, and courteous. Definitely recommend.

The food here is excellent. Plus, the cost is justified by the amount of food received. They have a daily special that usually comes with a trip to the salad bar. The salad bar has a good variety.
Seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and calming.
Waitress was very attentive. I had the best iced tea at lunch today (plus she let me take some to go).

LOVE this place. My husband said the perch was the best he's ever had. I'm a wheat free person and they worked with me, serving the best chicken meal. Everything made from scratch. Chef went table to table and asked how everything was. I'll remember this place.
