It is by far THE BEST place you will ever eat at. The Indian cuisine is beyond delicious, I have always been satisfied when I had a meal here.
1st, I had never been to an Indian restaurant before. I didn't know anything about Indian cuisine and didn't want to order something off a menu and get a plateful of something I did not like. I found out Sindhu had a lunch buffet, so I figured I would give it a whirl. Suprise! I really liked the flavors. Some other reviewers complained that the food wasn't spicy enough. However, there are various spice sauces on the bar to add more heat. As a newbie, I thought the spices were right on. I got lucky and sampled more flavorful, less spiced dishes the first trip to the bar. On my second round of tasting, I ended up with spicier samples. I was unable to taste a sample I got for a second time because of the spice(heat) from the other dishes. This is why I think the spices are at the proper level for a BUFFET. If I was ordering a spicy dish from a menu and wasn't worried about tasting other softer flavors. I would want more spices. The one complaint I have was the overcooked chicken. There were chunks of chicken soaking in the sauces, but when you ate the chicken pieces, they were so dry, I needed water to get them down. The sauce is definitely the boss with Indian food, but the chicken in the sauce should be edible. If it wasn't for the chicken, I would have given 5 stars. Saying that, I will definitely be coming back.
Good service and great food! I have only been to Sindhu for dinner, and each time has been wonderful.
The best Indian food in the area, probably in the state. Worth it for the lunch buffet or ordering off the menu. It survives and thrives while tucked away in the corner of a strip mall with no apparent advertising -- this place is getting by on the quality of its food.
For an extra bonus, get an order or two of samosa or naan to go. It is our favorite way to prolong the Sindhu experience.
I went with a group of friends for dinner, and we ordered family style. I wish I could remember what we ordered because it was all super delicious! I will definitely go back for the food. My issue was the service. We went on the day it snowed a ton, so not many people were out. The restaurant wasn't busy: we were one of three parties. But we still had to get the waiters' attention for basics such as more water. After he brought over one pitcher, we asked for another because we had a lot of people, and he didn't come back until we asked again. If the restaurant had been busy, I would be more understanding. But having three tabletops full does not mean you can ignore all of them and chat with your co-workers behind the counter instead.
