State Room Restaurant

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on July 27. The bison cooked to a perfect rare was definitely delicious. I also enjoyed the mango chilled soup and a terrific cheese plate. The State Room should be on your short list when you need to treat yourself.

Really nice meal. Great burgers, nice environment and friendly staff. I'm definitely going back.

The seas scallops with sesame honey emulsion and a macerated grape compote, oranges and grilled carrots was amazing. The flavor medley was perfect. The Scallops were superb executed. Lightly browned on the outside and buttery on the inside. My server Katie was humorous and very attuned to my preferences. I highly recommend dinner at the State Room. Oh I forgot, the Strawberry Mule was also wonderful! An all around hit.

My date and I experienced the State Rooms sunday brunch buffet this weekend, it was fantastic, the salmon with chardonnay sauce was my favourite. Our waiter was excellent along with our host. I would recommend making a reservation and to note that one can reserve a more private dinning room similar to a conference room. They served Paramount brand coffee, we purchased a pound of from the restaurant before we left. I recommend the State room for a more upscale brunch option.

The State Room is located in the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. It is a solid restaurant. Comprehensive wine selection, upscale menu options and good service. Much nicer than your average hotel restaurant. I would consider returning for a meal even if I wasn’t staying at the hotel. They have some nice options sourced locally. If you are looking for a nice place to have a meal, give this place a try. Enjoy.
