I'm pretty critical of Vietnamese restaurants, especially in the Lansing area.. and this place hits all the marks! The owner, Bruce, is an exceptional host and the food is great. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
5 star food, 5 star service.
This is easily in the top two Vietnamese restaurants in the Lansing Metro area. It's small, but the aesthetics of the environment are put together well inside and out!
One of the things that sets this place apart from most is the owner. He took them time (when he could) to personally speak to all of the patrons, and described their process of selecting meats and vegetables. He in turn is purchasing local, which is much appreciated.
Not many places take the time to talk to their customers for improvement, or just that extra level of customer service. The few that do are VERY successful.
Bruce, please keep that up if you can! If you want a restaurant that does the same out of town try Brooklyn Boyz in Bay City. Same service! I'll promote you guys where I can and refer people. I'll be back to see you guys soon!
If you’re looking for a great bowl of pho this place will not disappoint. Flavorful broth and fresh greens is what you will get. The food was great. The service was very friendly with that rare combination of being attentive and also laid back enough to let you eat and enjoy your food without too much interruption. Great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
First of all, it’s great to see a new place in town and we can never have enough soup places in the winter. The staff and owner are very nice and friendly. The service is good and the food came quick.
My feedback has to do with the food quality and price point. The soup base is very oily and is quite bland in flavor. There’s no fish sauce offered as a condiment. The banhmi sandwich is good and the home made bread is good but there isnt enough stuffing in the sandwich for that price. The competition have more meat and bigger sandwiches for same price or less. Also 12.00 for a bowl of pho is pretty expensive, granted I’m not sure the rent for the location. I also understand that’s it’s a new location so hopefully this feedback helps with the food quality.
