Saddleback BBQ Okemos

I've lived and ate brisket in Austin Texas, this is the first time in Michigan I have expirenced brisket as good. I like the sausage but wish it was made in house. The coleslaw is awesome with cracked black pepper added at home. The pork grinds are fresh and have a perfect balance of spicy seasoning. I will most likely be eating a pound of brisket from here twice a month for the rest of my life! No photos because I ate it all and photos we not the priority.

Everything plentiful, very tasty and all 3 sauces were sublime. Flavors and variety were terrific, ribs were perfectly flavored and waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks Okemos!

I have been to virtually all of the good bbq joints in Michigan and Saddleback Okemos is my new fave due to consistently great meats, sides, sauces and adult beverages. The ribs, brisket, wings, cornbread, greens, mac & cheese etc are the best ever as these folks are passionate about their craft - give it a try!

Had pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato mash, so awesome!! Customer service was great!! Will definitely go back.

1st time visitor. We placed our order when we walked in with the cashier. Nice guy. We then seated ourselves where we liked (booth by a window). Our food was brought out to us promptly.The brisket was excellent. My favorite condiment paired with the brisket was the spicy vinegar. The corn cake was really good. The collard greens were the THE BEST I have had in years! The macaroni n cheese was good, but I REALLY recommend those collard greens as a side. Staff 5 stars, very friendly. We were greeted immediately upon entrance and acknowledged as we left. Decor in the dining areas are nice & fitting, the eating area was clean, and it is a laid back atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for brisket especially.
