“Whitetail Cafe is a delightful hidden gem! It’s tucked away in the small town of East Tawas and I found it by chance as I was at a shoe store nearby. The food is excellent, each item is properly prepared...delicious and served promptly. We liked it so much when we went here on Monday that we came back on Tuesday and Thursday this week also! The two mascot deer heads are adorable with the shirts/hats they have on. I love deer so when I saw this place, I had to try it.....finding out how awesome it is was a huge bonus! Try the Big Buck breakfast or the Button Buck breakfast. Also don’t miss the chili or the burgers. I took 5 orders of chili home and put in the freezer...delicious! All I can say is Wonderful......about the Whitetail Cafe!”

“Wow! These folks run a great little cafe! We got there during a lull and were able to order sandwiches that were generously sized and tasty. Then we witnessed the crowds filling up the place. We were so impressed how smoothly (and quickly) they got the ice cream orders out. Great variety and large scoops. We’re putting it down as a new favorite for our visits to Hale and surrounding areas.”
