Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

My husband and I went there last night for dinner. We were seated pretty quickly and our waiter was nice. We both ordered the southern fried chicken dinners. We both got Mac and cheese and he had French fries and I had the turnip greens. The chicken was pretty good. The Mac and cheese could be way better. It tastes exactly like a box velveeta and was runny. The turnip greens were really good and the corn muffin was alright. The biscuits however were terrible. Not fluffy at all and were extremely chewy.

You can always count on Cracker Barrel to have good food. This location scores high for the fast, friendly service. They even had little samples of chocolate bar and peppermint stick so you could top off your meal with just a touch of something sweet. A very nice touch.

Quality, and quantity, of food has changed so much over the last 2 years that I've been eating here.
Prices definitely have not gone down.
The concept is still a great idea, but I would rather see fewer menu items of good quality than the stuff they are offering now.

The food was good.
I understand 2 bus load arrived almost at the same time but we had People at one table that ordered 15 minutes before us and and still had not received any food after we had finished. This was brought to the managers attention and he was very nonchalant and offered nothing to the 4 ladies...not even coffee
