First time trying this place. The meal was very good. The service was reasonably quick given the crowd. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I selected four stars instead of 5 was because the coffee was average at best and served barely warm in both the cafe and the restaurant. Aside from the coffee, it is the best breakfast I've had so far in Kalamazoo. I recommend it to others and will definitely be back.
The food is some of the best in town. It’s irritating that carry out customers have stand in line with customers waiting for a table. The place is small but cozy. I often go alone and since seating is limited, I like to get carry out. I would visit more often if I didn’t have to stand in line for 20-30min simply to place a carry out order.
Was in town for a few days from Los Angeles and was so thoroughly impressed by our brunch at Crow’s Nest the first morning that we actually went another day as well. Food was excellent, service was friendly and fast. The actual restaurant is pretty small but you aren’t shoved up to the table next to you so it just adds to the charm. Great flavor profiles and ingredients. We also ate at Anna’s House one day since it was highly raved about- Crow’s Nest is wayyyy better.
The Amaretto pecan French toast was amazing. Plus I've never seen a place let you get two meats for your sides. And the coffee from their coffeehouse counterpart downstairs was delicious. Great ambiance, and the balcony view looked nice. Service was also spot on. One of the highlights of my visit to Kalamazoo.
Crow's Nest is such an interesting unique place. The restaurant is upstairs while the coffee shop is on the main floor. The restaurant is tiny. It's great for small parties, not really for big ones given the size. We had to wait 30 min for just 2 people, but it was worth. The wait guy was very charismatic. All the staff was very friendly. The food was very delicious too. A great place to enjoy.
