El Gallo Blanco

The quintessential Mexican restaurant. It's surprising to find a place like this in Kalamazoo. Food and service are always excellent. I honestly have nothing to bad to say about El Gallo Blanco.

El White Chicken is great Mexican food, great price, and great service. You know it is authentic Mexican when the waiter can barely understand English and they refill your coke when it is still 75% full.

Tacos are excellent with many different choices of protein. I usually only order tacos at Mexican places at first when I try them to get an idea if they are any good. these did not disappoint. My wife had two, I ordered three and along with the complimentary chips and salsa we were stuffed!
I saw another review that said to ask for the grilled chicken or otherwise its a cream based chicken and when I did, they said they dont have grilled chicken. I went with pork, steak and beef tacos Mexican style. The whole meal for two of us came to under $15 after taxes and before tip.
You've got to try this place as I think it may be my new go-to place for Mexican!

Good food. Burritos are a bit messy because they're not wrapped well but they sure were delicious! Restaurant is clean, staff is very friendly, bathrooms are clean and they even offer free hygiene products for the ladies. I thought that was a nice touch. I'll definitely come again! !
