Valentina's Mexican Grill

Oh it was so good. Yet another diamond in the rough. It looks rough and sketchy on the outside and was surprised to see the uncovered Furnace/ AC unit in the dining room, but this place uses every square inch of space.
They had a special consisting of 2 enchiladas and a taco, so figured I would try it out. It came with the usual refried beans, rice along with lettuce and sour cream etc..
I ordered it with both the green and red sauce on the side in order to add what I liked as I went. Tacked on the salsa and chips. The chips were some of the best I have had in a while.

I guess it helps to be in a town like Kalamazoo where there are more than a dozen Mexican restaurants vying for your dollars.

This review comes a few days after the visit, but just thinking back is making me hungry again. The food is excellent - and they give you plenty of it. The presentation may be traditional but the flavor definitely exceeded all my expectations.

Very small and homey. Loved the atmosphere. All of the food was amazing, so good!

It is so small but the food is hot, fresh and delicious!! It was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait too long. Can't wait to try more the next time we go.

During our first visit to Valentina's, the food was tasty and fresh! We ordered a vegetarian burrito & vegetarian tacos and they were much better than other Mexican places in town. We have been to Valentine's several times since and the food we've tried has always been delicious. We look forward to returning for something good to eat. They had a full menu including kids meals and two daily specials on the board. They feature Coke products.
