Pizza Katerina

PK has very good potential as an indy, family owned NY style pizzeria. The 14 inch cheese pizza @$9 is a good value with freshly made dough & sauce coupled with ample cheese. I recommend minimal toppings, a little extra sauce and well done to savor the good snap, char and chew of the crust. This pizza is best eaten hot outta the oven in this very clean, new facility staffed by friendly folks and passionate owners!

Let’s get right to it — this is probably some of the best pizza you’ll find in Kalamazoo. Pizza Katerina keeps things simple, only selling New York style pizza and fresh bread.

The pizza sauce is filled with flavor, the dough is outstanding, and the pepperoni is unbelievably good. Price-wise, it’s cheaper than getting something like Domino’s.

Safe to say, this is my new go-to pizza joint. Hope to see it stick around for years to come ????.

Pizza Katerina is the antithesis of a cookie cutter, corporate pizza place. It's simple pizza done really well. The crust is fresh, with the perfect amount of heft. The sauce was bursting work flavor. The cheese was perfect, and the pepperoni was probably the best I've ever had.

You can tell that the owners put their heart and soul into each pizza and loaf of bread that goes out the door. There's no shortage of pizza or there that will come to you, but this is pizza that is worth going and getting.

Clean, bright, can see the kitchen (which is spotless!), and the owner could not be nicer.

Finally, a pizza place that uses enough oregano!! The pizza is so, so good, and the price is amazing. We not only have to go back, but we have to get two pizzas next time so the kids don't fight over it.

A nice family owned feel for a nice family owned place. I really enjoyed the ambience as I could the owner making my pizza. It made the whole thing more transparent and feel right at home.

A very small place with the old style pizzeria feel. They bring the food to your table (rather quickly) and it sets on a stand of sorts. You order cheese pizza and add toppings as you want, so my group and I did the basic cheese/pepperoni and then another one with cheese/pepperoni/ham that was just as good as the pepperoni one.

One of the biggest selling points is glass bottles pop (soda). It makes the pizza experience that much sweeter.

Overall I recommend you try this place. Oh and buy a cookie while you're there.
