Danzón Cubano

I lived in Miami for four years and ate authentic Cuban food multiple times per week there. Naturally I love when places nearby have Cuban food because it’s rare to find in Michigan. This food is pretty good but it’s definitely different than traditional Cuban food. The plantains are different (not as ripe, not as browned, and therefore not as sweet). The croquettes are way bigger here than they are supposed to be. The Cuban sandwich doesn’t appear to have the traditional lard-based Cuban bread. Again, it’s all good, but it doesn’t remind me of the classics in Miami (Versailles, la Caretta, Sergio’s)

Drinks and dinner with a group of 9 was excellent! The waitress - who is Cuban - told us what dishes are the most authentic. We had a lovely, relaxing evening on the patio with incredible food. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Had dinner in time for happy hour. Not too busy Wednesday early evening. Croquette appetizer came out under cooked but was remade for us quickly. Had the roast pork for dinner and all food was excellent! I wish there were a few more options on the menu but they do have some rotating items.

A pleasant little place! Went for Cuban Salsa lessons, which are every Thursday, and it was amazing. Excellent bartender, incredible teachers who broke down a semi complicated dance in a way that a complete beginner could pick it up.

Didn't have any food, but, I'll probably stop back and try. It looked amazing!

I would have given this place a 5 star review if not for the service. My friend and I were here on Tuesday night and both really enjoyed our meals. It wasn't that our waitress or hostess weren't friendly, but it literally took 3 hours for us to eat here. It wasn't even that busy but it looked like they only had one actual waitress working and then a manager? It took forever we were laughing by the end.
