“Umi Sushi and Grill has fine mix of both Japanese and local cultures. Umi offers a wide range of dishes. These dishes often include ingredients that are normally hard to source, and ones that you won't find in any other Sushi restaurant. Additionally, Umi uses fresh ingredients and don't cut to save on cost, like what other Sushi restaurants might do. I wish there was a digital menu so everyone could see how unique their dishes are. I enjoyed my meal at this Sushi restaurant.”

Honestly I love how laid back and unassuming it is. We were able to relax and enjoy really wonderful sushi without feeling like we had to “fancy up” and go on a whole date night. Drinks are great. Prices are fair. Place was clean and the staff was super cool. I was sad to see Sweetie Thai go, but I have pretty high hopes for this place. “Got an 18" pizza for carryout (half sausage pepperoni/half cheese). It is probably one of the best pizza's I've ever had. The whole family loved it, and became my kid's new favorite. Not as greasy as Pizza hut or other places, but still has a ton of great flavor in the crust and cheese with large pieces of sausage. Will definitely get it again and recommend to everyone I know. Great food for a fair price.”

“Went here with my parents on Saturday 8/24. Food was absolutely delicious and I have since told all my coworkers about it! We had the Bruschetta which was great, parents split the lasagna and I had the spaghetti and meatballs. Honestly the sauces to me tasted homemade, they were so good! My meal came with the minestrone soup which was also really fantastic! The server we had was very nice and attentive and everyone else we dealt with seemed very friendly. I will absolutely come here again as the food was to die for and the price was decent. So happy that Cedar Springs has this new restaurant!”

Try not to sweep while a customer is eating. It stirs dust in the air potentially landing on our food. If one has to sweep...do it gently. Brisk sweeping while customers are present is not acceptable for sanitary reasons. Just saying...”

“We were started with the best bread. The appetizers were very good we got the Hot Rock, Morel Mushrooms, and the Asparagus Salad. We then had an amazing meal of fresh carved Korean Fried Chicken, Beef Two Ways, and Striped Bass. The deserts were the best ever we had, Raspberry Souffle, Creme Brulee. We also told the server about the birthday and they made a special desert. Also Sybil was our server and she was awesome.”
