The owner is wonderful, the lamb biryanis plentiful and melt in your mouth tender. The shake was a special treat. I went with a friend from southern India and she agreed it was wonderful. “Damn, their food is great. We went many times early on when they first opened last fall and were met with a beautiful setup and an authentic Korean menu full of exciting new options. They offer stone bowls, platters, ramen, fresh made lemonade…the list goes on and on. They closed temporarily in the summer due to staffing issues and recently reopened with new additions to the menu. I was worried the menu wouldn’t have that same unique flair. I had no reason to worry. What they did was add several Korean friend chicken options to offer to those who don’t have a longer time to lunch. I work in the mall so I can call ahead and order chicken to eat on my break. It’s a great adoption to the menu. The two photos I’ve attached are two fried chicken dishes: red hot pepper chicken wings and Snow onion Garlic chicken tenders”

The drink I had was amazing as was the one enjoyed by my girlfriend. The food was also excellent! We got the Jien Bing. It was surprising in the best way. “Turnstiles is a phenomenal up-and-coming bar in Grand Rapids. I’ve only been twice so far. The first time I went with a friend I haven’t seen in a while, we met the owner Rob and his good friend and employee who had kept encouraging him to open the bar, both individuals were so friendly, helpful, and great at giving advice on food and drink options! The second time I went was just as amazing as an atmosphere and the servers were fantastic! The atmosphere is amazing and I can’t wait until I can go on a night they have live music going on. Their food and drinks are AMAZING and I would recommend a stop there to anyone living in or visiting GR :)”

“Ordered Pad Thai with fried tofu and extra pea pods for $1.00, med. heat. Order was ready on time and HOT temp wise. Lots of tofu and noodles, good amount of pea pods, sprouts, and green onions, egg, good spice level = hot but not crazy (I like spicy 🔥). Dish had almost no sauce, just oil. I hosed it down with soy sauce to make it better. Pad Thai should have fish sauce & tamarind at least, maybe cilantro and lime with crushed peanuts. This had a lemon and peanuts only. Overall a decent dish but not great for over $14.00 out the door.”
