While not modern, our room was spacious and clean. Only a 4 minute bike ride from the start of the TART trail, and right on Suttons Bay, making it a great stay for anyone feeling adventurous. The owners were kind and let us keep our kayaks on the beach. The outdoor space is large and well maintained with plenty of seating. The front gardens have lavender, making the whole place smell amazing. We didn’t eat at the bistro but we did get a drink and enjoyed the mellow jazz that played throughout the lawn. We are already looking forward to coming back.

Absolutely stunning view, great bistro and nice rooms. Stayed in the honeymoon suite and it is perfect for a weekend or more getaway. Even though the website doesn't say so, it does have a TV and microwave. Don't pass up on this place just because of a few not so great reviews. We took a chance and it was the best. Would definitely stay again!

Super low staffing makes it hard on the owners, though it was disappointing to spend our mini honeymoon somewhere that advertised a bar and restaurant on site but everything was shut down. The room was also not clean/ready until a couple hours after check in. The bed in our room was pretty old and everything was fairly worn but the place was very well cleaned. The views were breath taking and the owners definitely have a big want for the place. The music playing was also a nice touch

Stayed here this weekend. Reason for stay was for Cherry Fest but we wanted to stay somewhere out of the riff-raff of Traverse City for some relaxation, etc.
We arrived at 3:30 for a 3pm check-in time, and immediately I was disappointed in the fact that they made us wait for an HOUR because they had a "late checkout" group and our rooms needed to be cleaned. I completely understand that these types of things happen, not a big deal at all, but I would have expected a simple phone call to let me know that they were anticipating a late check out and we wouldn't be able to check in on time. That would have been completely acceptable and I would have been nicely prepared for that! That way I would have just taken my time in Glenn Arbor and explored some more.
The staff were apologetic, and offered us the chance to sit in the bistro or at the bar to have a cocktail while we waited, but all of my luggage was sitting on a cart, and due to my mood being immediately that of annoyed, I was not in the mood for a cocktail.

We finally got into our room, and I was yet disappointed once again. The rooms were just not great, very outdated, dirty, the bedding was horrible and felt like I was staying at some dumpy cabin, and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The deck outside the room had a very nice view but was SO disgustingly dirty from being weathered that I didn't even feel like sitting out there to enjoy the view.

We paid over $300 A NIGHT for this place! Had it been $200 or less, I could have looked past these flaws, but these flaws are SIMPLE fixes. Just power wash the deck, clean the place up! These types of things really don't cost a lot of money and they go a long way with guests. The place just seemed very weathered for lack of a better term, and while I realize staffing is short, and money is made in the summer months, some effort on their end to make the place nicer and more comforting would have gone a long way for me.
The staff did offer a "complimentary" cocktail for making us wait to check in, but that was never even redeemed when I ordered a cocktail later that day.

My rating is reflects the fact that the place was not horrible, the view was AWESOME, and the place has extreme potential, but for this price and disorganization, I will not be returning. Unfortunate too, because the place has a very nice location.

Beautiful location, and lots of outdoor seating with a prime view of the lake. Just feels like some missed opportunities to bring the place to its full potential. There’s almost no Michigan/local wines on the menu (all from Italy)
