We love Jed's in Adrian!! Staff are really friendly from the minute you walk in the door! This place reminds you of a "Cheers" where everyone knows your name! The food is really good, serving sizes are good size and the prices are decent. One of our favorites especially on Mondays!

Great fries and burgers, and cheap beer, and lots of TVs for games. Fireballs are good too!

This burger/BBQ/bar bites place is a nice addition to the Adrian dining repertoire, and reflects local tastes pretty well. It is also nice to see some additional life in the Kohl's Plaza other than Kohl's itself. I have been to a couple of other Jed's locations in this local, Toledo-based chain and have generally been satisfied with my experiences. I think this place lives up to the expectations set by these previous visits.

I am not sure how long, if at all, this location managed to open before COVID changed our lives, but it was closed for quite a while after the beginning of the crisis. It did not reopen right away even after it was cleared to do so, even for take out. It has seemingly been open now for perhaps a couple of months.

I am not sure they are serving food indoors except at the bar, which was certainly open and at least serving drinks. But there is a substantial amount of seating outside, and that is where we chose to eat, since the weather was conducive to that option. The way they are set up now, partial table service is available. You go inside (masked up, of course) to order, and the food is brought to you. This turned out to be reasonably efficient. When you're finished eating, you go back inside to pay. The gentleman working the register (who was probably also the bartender) and our waitress were both very pleasant and did their jobs well.

There were three of us on this visit, so the outdoor tables accommodated us quite nicely. The menu they offer at the moment might be COVID-reduced from what I remember, but there were plenty of items that carried appeal.

I tried the Freak Salad, which was chicken tenders ("Fireballs") and fries on a bed of lettuce. I chose to have my chicken grilled with honey BBQ sauce. It was a little different and I actually liked it quite well. However, this was one of those menu choices that should not be mistaken as a healthy option simply because "salad" is in the name.

Our son-in-law tried the Fungus Balls. These were chicken chunks smothered with mushrooms and cheese. Despite the disgusting name, he seemed pretty pleased with his selection.

My wife had the Jed's Junior Burger, which was a 4 oz. single patty dressed on a bun accompanied by fries. It was a perfect size for her. Unfortunately, however, while she liked the fries, she was not impressed with the burger. She said it was basically McDonald's quality (I know that's got to sting if management reads this, but it's one burger fan's honest appraisal). She gave me a taste and, while I'm not a burger connoisseur, I had to admit it was nothing special. That was the factor that knocked this place out of contention for a five-star rating, because it was otherwise quite good.

Our final cost with food, drinks (we did not have alcohol), tax and a standard tip was $41. At less than $14 per person, I cannot complain about the value. We'll probably try this place again as I think it might be a touch better than Frickers or BW3, the other options in town that serve similar fare. It's worth a try, especially if you've been to one of the other Jed's locations and have been favorably impressed.
