“Located in the old Dan’s Tavern Johnnie’s is our newest restaurant in Clinton...the Irish Hills Clinton, not the overcrowded Clinton Township...big difference. Wife and I have been in several times and loved it. Located right in the center of town on US 12 (Michigan Ave)Johnnies is situated in one of the many historic turn of the century buildings that give Clinton its charm. On our last visit we noticed no vegetarian option...wife is all veggie. John the owner was there and thankfully heard us talking. Get this folks...not on the menu but they have the Beyond veggie burger! She prefers the Impossible burger but as you know is impossible to get now that they hooked up with Burger King????. The burger was thicker than we remember from previous Beyond burgers and wonderful. Also had the chicken nachos...chicken on the side for me of course....which had an authentic home made look and taste. The grilled chicken pieces were well spiced and a generous portion. The decor is exposed brick...warm colors with a hint that you are in Michigan. Plenty of TVs if that’s your thing. We will be back many times...we can walk to Johnnie’s!”

“I frequented the old Clinton Inn regularly for dining and Sunday brunch. They are now under new ownership. The new main dining room is now light and airy but still has that country charm. I can't wait to see the rest of the changes. I have always liked it here but now I think it's even better! The menu selections were great, some new choices and old favorites. I ordered the veg avocado sandwich, I could eat it every day! The staff was attentive and nice. I will be back and would highly recommend!”

“Over all very nice small town pizza place at a fair price fore the quality of pizza they provide. I have never been to Clinton before Friday 5/31/19. I was in town for work a few doors down from hometown. My coworker and I came in about 2pm we were the only ones there. The gentleman taking our order was very helpful explaining the style of pizza and ingredients they use. We ordered a pizza and stayed for our meal. The pizza came out about 10min after ordering. The crust was probably the best I’ve had in a very long time. Toppings were generous and appeared to be fresh. The sauce was good but not anything I’d write home about. .”

“This place was really impressive. All of the food was amazing. Down to the condiments. You can really tell the chefs and those who make the menu really care about the food. It was also pretty cool that there is an art gallery upstairs. Needless to say the space was well decorated. The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. Really a gem! Will be coming back for sure (many times)”
